5. Installation and maintenance instructions

5.1 Installation steps

Stop the engine, relieve the pressure in the fuel system and clean the filter seating surface from the remains of the old gasket.

Apply a thin layer of clean diesel fuel to the new filter gasket (do not use grease or oil).

Clamp the filter with your hand until the gasket is in firm contact with the seating surface, then tighten it an additional 3/4–1 turn (avoid over-tightening to avoid damaging the threads).

Start the engine and check the connections for fuel leaks, especially where the filter and drain cock are attached.

If leaks are detected, stop the engine and tighten the filter slightly more (no more than 1/4 turn).

5.2 Service mode

Replacement interval: Under normal operating conditions – every 200 operating hours or 10,000 km. Under dusty or humid conditions, reduce the interval to 100 hours or 5,000 km.

Water Drainage: Check the filter collector weekly for water. If the collector is more than 1/4 full, open the drain valve (with the engine stopped).

Replacement upon alert: If a signal appears indicating excess differential pressure (more than 1.4 bar) or a decrease in engine power, replace the filter immediately.

6. Safe recommendations

When installing and replacing the filter, avoid contact of fuel with open fire sources, heated surfaces and electrical installations.

Use protective gloves and goggles to prevent fuel from coming into contact with your skin and eyes.

Dispose of used filters in accordance with local environmental regulations - sorting and special recycling, incineration or disposal with regular waste is prohibited.

Store new filters in a dry place, protected from sunlight, avoiding dust and moisture from getting on the filter element.
